A chiropractor in Brisbane generally costs $90 to $150 for a first visit and $70 to $90 for a standard follow-up visit. Most clinics charge per visit, so the cost of ongoing care depends on how often you attend.
At SpinePass in Toowong, a first visit is $100. Casual follow-up visits are $85. The monthly membership is $189 with your clinically guided visits included, which costs less than paying casually from the third visit in a month onward.
Chiropractic clinics almost never publish their prices. You ring up, you book in, and you find out what it costs once you are already in the chair — and you find out what the next six visits cost after that.
SpinePass publishes everything. Here it is.

What chiropractors charge in Brisbane
Brisbane sits in the middle of the national range. Based on publicly listed fees at Brisbane clinics, checked in September 2026, these are the figures you can expect to see.
| Appointment | Brisbane range | At SpinePass |
|---|---|---|
| First visit, full fee | $90 to $150 | $100 |
| Standard follow-up visit | $70 to $90 | $85 |
| Ongoing care, per month | Charged per visit | $189 flat |
Our casual rate sits inside the normal Brisbane band rather than undercutting it. The difference is not the price of a single visit. It is what happens when care runs across a series of them.
When a membership costs less than paying per visit
The SpinePass membership costs less than paying casually from the third visit in a month. At $85 a casual visit, $189 buys the equivalent of 2.2 visits, so two visits in a month is cheaper paid casually and three or more is cheaper on the membership.
| Visits in a month | Paid casually | On membership | Cost per visit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $85 | $189 | Casual is cheaper |
| 2 | $170 | $189 | Casual is cheaper |
| 3 | $255 | $189 | $63.00 a visit |
| 4 | $340 | $189 | $47.25 a visit |
| 6 | $510 | $189 | $31.50 a visit |
| 8 | $680 | $189 | $23.63 a visit |
Chiropractic care is generally guided over a series of visits rather than a single appointment. That is normal, and it is how the care is designed to work. The problem is what it does to the bill. Where a problem is long-standing or recurring, care usually starts more frequently, often around twice a week, and eight visits in a month paid casually is $680 at our own rate and more than that at the top of the Brisbane band.
The more consistent your care needs to be, the further the membership pulls ahead. And that is the point: I kept seeing patients stop their care early because of the running cost rather than because they were finished. A flat monthly fee removes that decision.
If you only ever need one appointment, the membership is the wrong product and a casual visit is the cheaper way to do it. We will tell you that rather than sell you a plan you do not need.
Private health rebates
We process private health rebates on the spot through HICAPS. If you have extras cover that includes chiropractic, your rebate is applied and credited against your next monthly membership payment, which reduces what you actually pay out of pocket.
What you get back depends entirely on your fund and your level of cover, so we cannot tell you the figure in advance — but we can process it for you at the visit rather than making you claim it yourself.
Medicare and bulk billing
Chiropractic is not covered by Medicare in the ordinary way, and you cannot simply turn up and be bulk billed. There is one route, and it runs through your GP.
If your GP has put you on a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan and referred you for chiropractic under it, SpinePass bulk bills those visits, so there is nothing to pay on the day. The plan replaced the old Chronic Disease Management arrangement on 1 July 2025; plans issued before that date still work for referrals until 30 June 2027.
Two things to know about it. The referral has to come from your GP, so it is a conversation to have with them rather than something we can arrange. And the plan covers a maximum of five allied health services per calendar year in total, shared across every provider you see under it, so if you are already using some of those visits for physiotherapy or podiatry, fewer remain.
For most people this is not the main way to pay for ongoing care, because five visits a year does not go far. It is genuinely useful if you have a long-term condition and a GP who is already managing it. If you think you may be eligible, ask your GP about a Chronic Condition Management Plan.
We also see DVA Gold Card patients with a valid referral from their GP, claimed directly so there is nothing to pay at the visit.
No lock-in, and no surprises
There is no minimum spend at SpinePass, no exit fee, and no prepaid package to buy up front. If you want to stop, you give 14 days notice and you stop. The reason the pricing is on this page at all is that you should be able to work out what care will cost you before you walk in, not after.
Common questions about cost
How much does a chiropractor cost in Brisbane?
Fees vary between clinics, and most do not publish them. At SpinePass, a first visit is $100, casual follow-up visits are $85, and the monthly membership is $189 with your clinically guided visits included.
Is there a cheaper option than paying per visit?
If you only ever need one appointment, a casual visit at $85 is the cheapest way to do it. If your care is guided over a series of visits, the $189 membership works out lower per visit from about three visits a month onward.
Do you bulk bill?
For a standard appointment, no. We do bulk bill visits where your GP has referred you under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, which covers up to five allied health services per calendar year across all providers. DVA Gold Card visits with a valid referral are also claimed directly.
Is there a cheap chiropractor in Brisbane?
Cheap depends on how often you go. For a one-off appointment, our $100 first visit and $85 follow-up both sit inside the normal Brisbane bands. For ongoing care the picture changes: most clinics charge per visit, so the cost keeps climbing, while the SpinePass membership is a flat $189 a month however often you come in. At twice a week that works out under $24 a visit, which is where the real difference sits.
How much is a chiropractic adjustment in Brisbane?
A standard follow-up visit in Brisbane generally costs between $70 and $90. At SpinePass a casual follow-up is $85, or it is included in the $189 monthly membership.
Why is the first visit more expensive than a follow-up?
A first visit is longer and covers a full history, a postural and physical assessment and a neurological assessment before any care is given. Follow-up visits are shorter because that assessment is already done.
How many visits will I need?
Nobody can answer that before assessing you, and you should be cautious of a clinic that quotes you a fixed block of visits before examining you. At your first visit you will get a clear explanation of what was found and what is recommended, and if chiropractic care is not the right fit, we will tell you that.
Is there a joining fee or a sign-up cost?
No. There is no joining fee, no sign-up cost and no prepaid package to buy up front. The membership is $189 a month and nothing else.
Do I have to become a member?
No. Casual visits are available at $85 with no membership and no commitment.
Does the price go up after the first visit?
The first visit is $100. After that you choose between casual visits at $85 and the $189 monthly membership. Those are the only two ongoing prices, and both are published here.
Can I claim on private health insurance?
Yes, if your extras cover includes chiropractic. We process rebates through HICAPS at the clinic.
Is there a minimum period?
No. There is a membership agreement setting out the terms, but it has no minimum term, no minimum spend and no exit fee. You can cancel at any time with 14 days notice.
